What personal information do we hold?
Personal and contact details such as title, full name, contact details and address.
Your date of birth and gender.
Family members (if joint or family membership applies).
If you join BSAC via 001 Divers we will retain a copy of the BSAC application form you will need to complete.
If you are member of BSAC but not through us we will record your BSAC membership identification.
If you train with us we will keep records of the sessions you attend and the qualifications you attain.
If you dive with us we will keep records of your current diving qualification and relevant diving experience as well as records of the dives you were involved in with us.
If you borrow some of our equipment we will keep records of the equipment including sizing where relevant.
If you attend an event organised by 001 Divers we will record your participation in the event.
How do we use this information?
There are various reasons why personal information is gathered electronically which includes but is not limited to;
Provision of training and diving activities and related services offered by us, 001 Divers.
Other activities and social events offered by us, 001 Divers.
Information gathered with the explicit consent of the user will only be used for the purpose for which it was
intended except in those circumstances where we, 001 Divers, must provide it to fulfil statutory obligations.
We may use personal details to contact our members directly for the purposes of obtaining further information
needed to fulfil the original purpose.
We, 001 Divers, may use personal information to contact users by electronic or physical means including, but not limited to;
Sending e-mail to those that have requested it.
Telephoning users to obtain additional information and clarification.
Other electronic and physical correspondence
Information that is gathered automatically without the explicit consent of the user will not be used by 001 Divers to identify an individual. We, 001 Divers, may use this information for the purposes of demographic and statistical reporting with the purpose of enhancing the services that it offers to our club members and other users.
